Engages in regular discussions with patients to change behavioral patterns, explore past experiences, and/or conduct group and family therapy sessions.Develops individualized care and treatment plans by determining the nature and extent of cognitive, emotional, developmental, social, and behavioral disorders, and establishing treatment goals and methodologies, collaborating with behavioral health providers as appropriate.Assess and treat acute and chronic psychiatric conditions through a combination of psychotherapy, psychoanalysis and medication management discussing progress toward goals with patients, providing instructions, monitoring effect of medication(s), with referral for inpatient services as needed.This role will work closely with our primary and ancillary care teams, including other behavioral health providers, as part of our larger comprehensive primary health model. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will provide general outpatient psychiatric services to members of our onsite community, including psychiatric intakes and evaluations for acute and chronic conditions along with related treatments, medication evaluations and treatment option planning.
